SPEED TRAP CITY – Support this Boycott – Don’t Buy Watermelons
Please support this boycott. Nobody likes police speed traps especially when they are completely unnecessary. Rush Springs encourages their police to pounce on innocent travelers trying to slow down from 70 mph to 45 mph in less than 1/2 mile. PLEASE call the merchants, any of them, and tell them you are boycotting their store and supporting this boycott. Send us a testimony for publication. 4-Wheeled Cash Registers
“Just got a ticket here today. Don’t even know the cost yet, but I bet it’ll be shocking. You can avoid points on your license by bribing the magistrate with $50 over the price of the ticket. Is this extortion or what? The cop told me about this opportunity to keep a clean rap sheet while handng me a ticket. They are not concerned with safety – they drive 4-wheeled cash registers.”
Let’s stop this non-sense
“I was ticketed this week at this location. I guess I am a newbie as I could not slow down from 70 to 65 to 55 to 45 in less than 10 sec while still driving safely. I am going to fight this on several fronts. If anyone would like to send me their experience please either put it here or send it to myearningslist at gmail dot com. I would rather have an email with a name and date. Let’s stop this non-sense and if we must slow down for safety of others then the signs can and need to be spaced A LOT further apart so any reasonable diver can slow down in time. By the way, the officer was a complete jerk and didn’t care to talk about his radar.”
Tickets given not accurate
“If you go through this intersection in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on Highway 81, you will probably get pulled over by the police officer even if you are only going a few MPH over the speed limit. The tickets given at this location must be extremely high because there has always been someone pulled over at this intersection when I drive through it. There is another factor in the tickets given at this area though, the ticket given to my husband was about 10 MPH higher than the speed that he was actually driving. I was in the vehicle and witnessed the whole incident.”
